SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Spokane Chiefs have a busy week ahead of them with three games on the schedule in the next four days.

The first game of the stretch is Wednesday at home against Everett. At 9-14-0-2 and all alone in last place in the U.S. Division, the Silvertips have struggled this season. With a home-and-home with Tri-City this weekend, it is easy to see how the Chiefs could overlook Everett.

But they insist that will not be the case.

"They're definitely going to come out and play hard – they always have and they always will," said wingman Mitch Holmberg. "I think we just have to come out and play our game. Everybody knows it's going to be a hard game for us."

"We can't underestimate [Everett]," said coach Don Nachbaur. "They're a team that works hard and if we don't come bringing it every night we expose ourselves. We've done that this year and hopefully we've learned our lessons along the way."

After the game against Everett the Chiefs travel to Tri-City on Friday. Then it is back in Spokane for a re-match with the Ams on Saturday – a game shown live on SWX in the Spokane/North Idaho region beginning at 7 p.m.
