NHL All-Star in Town Excites the Americans

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The NHL lockout brought a former Tri-City Americans goalie to town. This week Carey Price is practicing with his favorite WHL team in Kennewick. The current Ams give us a little bit more when it comes to skating with an NHL goalie.

"It's been fun so far. You know there's, I have a lot of friends and family here in the Tri-Cities. I spend a lot of time in the summer time here so being able to come back and skate with the Ams again. It's been rejuvenating," said Cary Price

"It felt really good. Yeah big confidence, it was just awesome for him to even be out there," said Lukas Walter, on being the first to score on Price.

"There's a bit of a buzz around our room. I haven't seen as many guys who weren't on the ice actually sitting on the bench watching and that's what happened yesterday," said Jim Hiller, Americans head coach. "There's no doubt a buzz and there's a real respect for Carey of course."
