Americans appreciate offensive outburst

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-City Americans are getting everyone involved in the offense. Over the last two games, Tri-City outscored Vancouver and Red Deer, 14-3. That includes Sunday's 9-1 beat down. As of Thursday the Ams are just one point back of the Portland Winterhawks. So the Ams appreciate all the goals they can get.

"Well, you enjoy it first of all, because there's lots of nights where it doesn't happen that way. So it's a fun night for everybody because we have a lot of players getting their first points in the WHL, Fiebelkorn got his first win. There's so many great things that happen when the puck goes in a lot," head coach Jim Hiller said.

"You know, if you have a good period, the other team is going to come out the next period pretty hard. So to expect something like that again after every period, you don't really see it, you want to think it, but you keep working hard, and it will come," forward Connor Rankin added.
