Tri-City Americans back on track thanks to their captain

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-City Americans are rolling after sweeping the first three games of the homestand. After a week when Tri-City scored just three goals, the offense woke up. Over the long weekend, Tri-city scored 19 goals. A big part of the awakening was WHL player of the week, Justin Feser. The captain scored five of those goals and had three assists.

"Oh, it always feels good. You can't do it by yourself. Obviously my linemates Brian Williams and Malte Stromwall. They all had great weekends and I've got to thank them a whole lot," Feser said.

" We lost a lot from last year, but the one guy we have coming back who scored a lot of goal is Fes. So we know there are other guys that will fill in behind, but you know he's going to be our leader that way as well," head coach Jim Hiller added.

The Americans play next on Friday at home against the Everett Silvertips.
