The Chiefs continued their perfection at home in dominating fashion Tuesday night, walloping Seattle 8-2 in front of 3,524 fans at the Spokane Arena. Todd Fiddler scored two goals and Mike Aviani finished with four points as the Chiefs improved to 7-0-0-0 at home and 11-5-0-0 overall.

Spokane controlled the first period from start to finish, outshooting the Thunderbirds 13-5 while putting constant pressure on Seattle goalie Brandon Glover. Aviani got the scoring going on a power play goal at 9:21 off assists from Jason Fram and Tyler King.

King followed with a goal of his own at 10:25, firing a shot from the blue line past an unsuspecting Glover with assists from Dylan Walchuk and Collin Valcourt. After a penalty kill the Chiefs struck again, as Fiddler grabbed an errant past from the T-Birds and scored a breakaway goal at 16:11.

Carter Proft extended Spokane's lead to 4-0 a mere 15-seconds later on a shot from just outside the crease on assists from Mikulas Rimmel and Riley Whittingham. Liam Stewart capped the first period scoring with a goal at 17:21 with assists to King and Adam Heleweka.

The Chiefs wasted no time lighting the lamp in the second, as Fiddler scored his second goal of the night just 50-seconds into the period on assists from Aviani and Reid Gow.

Seattle got on the board at 6:50 in the second with Luke Lockhart sneaking a shot past Eric Williams. Lockhart's goal was the last of the period as Spokane headed to the third leading the Thunderbirds 6-1.

Brenden Kichton opened up the scoring in the final period with a sniper shot from just inside the blue line on an assist from Aviani at the 9:59 mark. It was Kichton's 50th career WHL goal and 200th career WHL point.

Aviani tallied his second goal of the night at 11:25 with the help of a great pass from Gow to put a final exclamation point on Spokane's highest scoring game of the year.

Williams finished 21 of 22 on save opportunities while Garret Hughson was 4 of 5 in relief. The Chiefs went 2 for 3 on the power play and 2 of 3 on the penalty kill.

The Chiefs continue their six game homestand this weekend with their only match up of the year against Red Deer on Friday followed by a tilt with U.S. Division rival Everett on Saturday.
