Along with the move up in the rankings, Junior Linebacker Ronnie Hamlin was selected as the ROOT Sports Defensive Player of the Week after a team-high 15 tackles and a key interception.
Redshirt Freshman Safety Jordan Tonani scored an interception return for a touchdown and was selected as the College Sports Madness National FCS Defensive Player of the Week.

The Eagles and their new #1 ranking will take on Sacramento State this Saturday at Roos Field with kickoff at 4:05pm.
