The Whitworth Pirates will face their toughest challenge yet this season with a road trip to No. 3 Linfield on Saturday.

The Bucs are coming off a 38-24 to Willamette – their first defeat in six games. But now it is time to bounce back and try to knock off one of the top Division III teams in the country.

"It's fun to play at Linfield, it's a fun environment," said linebacker Scott Carr. "I think it will be a blast, I think the guys are pretty pumped up. They're the No. 3 team in the nation… so everyone should be up for it."

"We're excited for it, we're excited for the opportunity – they've had two weeks to prepare for us," said coach John Tully. "This has been a short week for us but our guys will be ready come game time."

Saturday's game is at 1:30 p.m. in McMinnville, Ore.
