Eastern Washington redshirt freshman Shaquille Hill earned himself quite an honor after a monstrous kickoff return on Saturday. The Big Sky Conference named him the Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.
Hill, from Stockton, Calif., returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown on Saturday to help the Eagles beat North Dakota 55-17. The return happened in the first quarter and game EWU a 20-10 lead.
Later in the first half, Hill returned a kick 41 yards to set up a touchdown to make the score 27-10.
Hill currently ranks third in the FCS with an average of 37.33 yards per kick returns. Eastern Washington leads the nation in returns with a 31.80 average.
