On paper, Saturday's game against Oregon can be intimidating. But then again, Washington State goes into Saturday's game with something the Ducks don't: home field advantage. Well, sort of.

The Ducks are a perfect 4-0 so far this season. They shut out No. 22 Arizona 49-0 last week. And they have outscored their opponents 211-73 (Arkansas State, Fresno State, Tennessee Tech, Arizona).

The Cougars are considered the home team this weekend, as Saturday's game will be played in Seattle and NOT Pullman. Promoters call the traveling home game a good chance for fans on the other side of the state to watch a home game without traveling across the Cascades.

"We're excited to play anywhere no matter what, you know," said coach Mike Leach. "Martin Stadium is my favorite, of course, but we're excited to play anywhere."

"I think it's exciting for the west side of the state," said quarterback Connor Halliday, who grew up on the east side of the state in Spokane. "We got a lot of Cougars over there. But it's not a true home game. It's kind of frustrating that we don't get to play the game in Martin Stadium. It's kind of a 50-50 deal."

Is that a little trepidation I sense?
