The Seattle Seahawks handed it to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, grabbing their first win of the season.
They won largely because they played a balanced game, with the defense and special teams coming up big. Dallas fumbled the opening kickoff, and the ‘Hawks also blocked a punt for a touchdown.
Marshawn Lynch ran for 122 yards and a touchdown, while Russell Wilson threw for 151 yards and a score.
Why were they so successful on Sunday? The team credits a solid week on the practice field.
"We had a great week of practice," said cornerback Marcus Trufant. "It was a physical practice, it was a fast practice and everybody was into the details. That's what we've been about – all about the details and fixing the little stuff. We have a great group of young athletes who run fast and hit hard."
The Seahawks will be featured on Monday Night Football next week when they host the Green Bay Packers. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at CentruyLink Field.
