Deteriorating air quality forced several high school football teams to change their plans Friday afternoon.
Some teams canceled their Friday night football games. Others were able to move their games indoors. But in every case, athletic directors said the smoky air conditions were too dangerous for their kids.
The Moscow vs. Pullman game as called off and postponed until Saturday at 7 p.m.
The game between Lakeside and Lapwai, which was scheduled to be played in Lapwai, moved to Lakeside Friday morning. But as air conditions worsened, the decision was made to postpone the game and regroup on Monday.
The game between Kendrick and Prairie was canceled as well.
Administrators were able to move two games inside the Kibbie Dome at the University of Idaho. Genesee will play Garfield-Palouse at 6 p.m., followed by Troy and Deary around 8:15.
