The Washington Huskies are still licking their wounds after a miserable 38-point loss to one of the best teams in the country.

Washington had more penalty yards than rushing yards against LSU on Saturday. They simply dug a hole from which they could not dig out.

"I thought out effort was good, I thought there was a lot of ‘want to' on the football team," said coach Steve Sarkisian. "I thought they battled and competed for four quarters. Unfortunately, our execution wasn't very good."

In fact, speaking of his team's 41-13 loss, he said "he wanted to puke."

Sarkisian said it is difficult to overcome 13 penalties, 11 of which were accepted by the Tigers. There were blown assignments and too many misses on all sides of the ball.

Washington gets to take a bit of a breather after a tough game in the Bayou. They host Portland State this Saturday at CenturyLink Field.
