The Washington Huskies are preparing for a big matchup this weekend following a Week 1 win over San Diego State.

The Dawgs take on the LSU Tigers on their home turf in Baton Rouge, a team that has never lost a non-conference game under head coach Les Miles.

It will undoubtedly be a tough challenge, but quarterback Keith Price is up to it.

"They have a good safety, two good cornerbacks and they have a D-line that's ferocious," said Price in a weekly news conference.

"They got a lot of speed," added cornerback Desmond Trufant. "They do a lot of things horizontally, screens. They just like to get their athletes on the perimeter, so we just have to match their speed."

Price likes LSU's defense. Trufant believes their offense is a threat. And coach Steve Sarkisian says their special teams game is also a serious threat.

"[They are] a tremendous team – special teams football team in the return game and returning kicks," Sarkisian said.

The last time Washington played LSU was September 5, 2009, Sarkisian's first year as head coach of the Huskies. The Tigers were ranked No. 11 in the nation. Jake Locker kept Washington in the game for the most part. They trailed 24-16 with five minutes left in the game before LSU scored another touchdown to seal the win, 31-23.
