PULLMAN, Wash. -

Mike Leach and Co. are vowing to put last week's loss to BYU behind them as they prepare for a grand home opening Saturday against FCS foe Eastern Washington.

Both players and coaches spoke to the media on Monday. The theme was clear: they were not happy about last Thursday's loss. But that is in the past, and the team is moving on.

"If you guys expect us to sit around and mope for the whole week, you're wrong because that's not what's going to happen here anymore," said quarterback Jeff Tuel. "Those times are over. That Friday practice guys were flying around, energetic. It does no good to sit here and dwell on things in the past and what we didn't do. We got to correct things and get it done and move on from it, and that's exactly what's happening."

Saturday's game will be the first in the newly renovated Martin Stadium. It will also be the first meeting between WSU and EWU in more than 100 years. The only two times the two teams played each other was in 1907 and 1908. The Cougars won 46-0 in 1907 and 73-0 in 1908.

The game will be televised on Pac-12 Network.
