Pac-12 to Televise At Least 30 WSU Men's Basketball Games

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – At least 30 of Washington State University men's basketball's 31, 2012-13 regular-season games will be televised, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott announced Wednesday, along with the Pac-12 men's basketball television schedule.

In addition, eight of the Pac-12 Tournament games will air on the Pac-12 Networks with one of the quarterfinal games being televised on ESPNU, one semifinal on ESPN or ESPN2 and the championship game on ESPN.

"We are excited to have the opportunity play all of our home, neutral-site and Pac-12 games on television this season," WSU Head Coach Ken Bone said. "Playing on the Pac-12, ESPN and Fox Networks will provide more exposure to the Washington State Basketball program, while allowing Cougar fans and supporters to follow the team more closely."

The Cougars will appear on the ESPN family of networks four times during the season, starting with the CBE Hall of Fame Classic semifinals when they take on Kansas at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 19 on ESPN2. WSU will then be shown on either ESPNU or ESPN3 in either the championship game or consolation game of the tournament, Nov. 20. WSU's home games against Gonzaga (Dec. 5) and Washington (Jan. 5) will be televised on ESPNU.

Two of Washington State's games will be shown on FSN, its final two road games of the regular season. The Cougars play at Arizona, Saturday, Feb. 23 and at Washington, Sunday, March 3.

The rest of WSU's games will be shown on the Pac-12 Networks, including home nonconference games against Eastern Washington (Nov. 10), Utah Valley (Nov. 14), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 24), Idaho (Nov. 28), Portland (Dec. 1), Fresno State (Dec. 9) and Jackson State (Dec. 13). Its neutral-site games against Buffalo (Seattle, Dec. 21) and Idaho State (Kennewick, Dec. 29) will also be on the Pac-12 Network.

The Cougars' remaining 15 Pac-12 games will air on the Pac-12 network, including home and road games against Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, USC and UCLA, road games against Stanford and California and home games against Utah, Colorado and Arizona.

The Pac-12 men's basketball package includes 150 games aired on the Pac-12 Networks, 47 on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU (including the Pac-12 Tournament championship game on ESPN), 22 games on FSN, and two nationally on CBS. Additional appearances will be made through other conference television agreements and various in-season tournaments. With the launch of the Pac-12 Networks, every Pac-12 home contest will be televised during the 2012-13 season.

Along with television, times were also announced for the games. Washington State will host Saint Martin's in non-televised exhibition action, Tuesday, Nov. 6 before opening the 2012-13 season Saturday, Nov. 10 against Eastern Washington. The time is yet to be determined for the matchup between the Cougars and Eagles due to it taking place the same day as a WSU football game.
