Eric Comrie returns to Americans with experience and confidence

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Eric Comrie returns to the Tri-City Americans as the number one goalie. In the spring the Americans traded Ty Rimmer to the Lethbridge Hurricanes, clearing way. Last year Comrie still saw a lot of ice time. In 31 games Comrie earned 19 wins while posting a 2.67 goals against average. Comrie said his experience makes him feel good entering the season.

"I'm really ready. I've been waiting a long time. I'm kind of lucky I got a couple of games over in Europe. Just get you back into it, but I'm so excited for the season to start. I have more experience. I won't be as nervous heading into games. I know what to expect. I know the guys better now. I know the league, how people play, the travel. I'm used to it. So I'm expecting a fun year," Comrie said.
