Rockies GM comments on Dust Devils team at final home stand

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- The Tri-City Dust Devils ended their final home stand of the season with a record crowd. Fans knew it was the last time they will see the 2012 Dust Devils at Gesa Stadium. Tri-City is not going to the playoffs. They are on pace to finish last with one road trip to Salem-Keizer left. Among the crowd was Colorado Rockies General Manager Daniel O'Dowd.

"These are such great young men, all pursuing a dream. They're just starting their journey. It's just a matter of me trying to remind them that this is just the start of it. We don't do a whole lot of evaluation the first year out. We just want them to get their feet on the ground and get comfortable playing professional baseball and start to get in the routine of the things that we like to do," O'Dowd said about the Dust Devils.
