Former Ams Shinnimin, Hughesman stop by for camp

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Two of the recent Tri-City American greats are back in town to take part in main camp.

Both Brendan Shinnimin and Adam Hughesman, two of the winningest players in franchise history, are using the camp as conditioning before they go play professionally. Shinnimin is signed with the Phoenix Coyotes, while Hughesman is still weighing his options. Sunday SWX caught up with both players.

"I had a whole Summer of pretty hard training and you know I'll be off to Phoenix on Saturday. This was a bit of an opportunity for me to get down here and be able to see some of the guys that I played with last year," said Shinnimin, last year's WHL player of the year.

"A few things on the go professionally, the AHL. Just finished Toronto camp it went really well and looking somewhere in their organization. If not I'll be going to school. So I'm excited. I came here to train and get better and see the boys," Hughesman added.
