SIOUX FALLS, SD. -- For the second straight season, the Tri-Cities Fever lost to the Sioux Falls Storm in the United Bowl. The Storm beat the Fever 59 to 32 Saturday Night.

Unlike last year's 37 to 10 loss, the Fever got off to a hot start. On the first Storm drive, quarterback Chris Dixon was picked off by Fever cornerback Lionell Singleton, who took it 48 yards for the touchdown and the 7-0 lead. The Fever took a 14 to 7 lead in the first quarter when Steven Whitehead threw a two yard touchdown pass to Giovanni Stanley. The Storm held tough, and led 22 to 20 at the half.

The second half is where things fell apart for the Fever. Tri-Cities was outscored 37 to 12 in the second half. The lone Fever touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a 19 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Houston Lillard to running back Dennis Kennedy.

The Fever had only eleven rushing yards in the game. Lillard completed 18 of 32 passes for 163 yards and one touchdown. All three Fever losses this year were to the Storm.

One of the exciting parts about the indoor football game is the amount of scoring. But that was not the case on Saturday. The Tri-Cities Fever held the Wyoming Cavalry to a defensive season best, 16 points.
