SPOKANE, Wash. -

Just because Spokane didn't make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, don't expect majority owner Brady Nelson to make sweeping, wholesale changes. It won't happen.

Just because Spokane didn't make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, don't expect majority owner Brady Nelson to make sweeping, wholesale changes. It won't happen.

"[I am] definitely disappointed we're not in the playoffs, it's a position we've never been in, but it's not something where we're going to make drastic changes," said Nelson.

So the show goes on for at least two more weeks. The Shock play at Kansas City this weekend before closing out the season at home against Tampa. And to anyone thinking the players are going to call it in….

"We play the game to win," said defensive back Terrance Sanders, who returned to practice for the first time since breaking his wrist back in June. "So if you're not in a position to win the championship and all those expectations are kind of out the window, we still got pride. We still came in for a reason and we want to finish strong."

Head coach Andy Olson said he is approaching this week's game like any other. Any thoughts of benching the starters and putting in the reserves are out of line.

"A lot of people have approached me asking if I'm going to play all my bench players, and the answer is ‘no'. I want to win the game. I want to finish 10-8 and we're going to everything we can to make sure that happens."
