COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - At 7am Sharp Sunday Morning, Thousands of athletes took the plunge into Lake Coeur d'Alene to start the 10th annual Ironman.
More than 2500 athletes are expected to take part. They will have to swim, bike and run a combined total of 140 miles before they can call themselves an Ironman.
The last racer is expected to cross the finish line sometime around midnight tonight and KHQ will be there the entire way. Check back here for updates throughout the day as well as tonight on KHQ Local News at 5, 6, & 11.
