Fever lasso the Calvary in regular season finale

PASCO, Wash. -- In a game they never trailed, the Tri-Cities Fever defeated the Wyoming Cavalry 66-34 in its regular season finale Saturday night at the Toyota Center.

The Fever jumped out to a quick lead, and led 14-0 after the first quarter after a Houston Lillard touchdown pass to Edward Berry and a pick-6 by Ruddell Crim. The Fever scored two more touchdowns in the second quarter off a Dennis Kennedy rushing touchdown, and another Houston Lillard passing touchdown, this time to Jamar Howard. The Fever scored 35 second half points and never let the Cavalry back into the game.

Lillard had another strong game, completing 17 of 26 passes for 165 yards and four touchdowns. Three of those went to Tre Young. Kennedy added two rushing touchdowns on the night. The Fever finished the regular season with a 12-2 record. The IFL playoffs begin in two weeks.
