Take the top three teams from last year, shake them up a bit, and there you have the latest prediction on how the Zags will fare in the West Coast Conference this upcoming basketball season.

Writing on CBSSports.com, Jeff Goodman made an early prediction: Gonzaga will finish first, Saint Mary's second and BYU third. For the record, that is nearly identical to how to ended in March (Saint Mary's first, Gonzaga second and BYU third).

The reason Gonzaga will win the conference in 2012-13: Elias Harris and a talented backcourt consisting of Gary Bell and Kevin Pangos, not to mention David Stockton. And then there's the 7-footer, Przemek Karnowski, who should fill the void left by Rob Sacre.

Goodman also predicted Santa Clara – yes, the same Santa Clara that struggled mightily last year and finished last – would finish fourth.
