Buck Boosters to honor PHS softball state champs Wednesday

PENDLETON – The Buckaroo Booster Club will host a community celebration Wednesday, June 6, to honor the Pendleton High School softball team, which just won the OSAA Class 5A State Softball Championship. The public is invited to join in the free celebration, which will take place in the north parking lot of Dave's Food Mart on Southwest Court Avenue at 6 p.m.

Activities will begin at 6 p.m. with the softball team traveling from the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce parking lot via escort down Main Street, west on Southwest Court Avenue to Dave's Food Mart. The community celebration will include free ice cream cones to the first 500 Buckaroo supporters, several jumping castles and other interactive games for the kids, including free face painting and live music.

Team introductions begin at 6:15 p.m., followed by the presentation of the championship trophy. Please plan to arrive at Dave's Food Mart by 6 p.m. to provide the Buckaroo welcome to the softball champs.
