SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

The best of the best in local high school basketball played Monday night in Spokane Valley, just like they have for the past 19 years.

The girls came together for the annual Jack Blair Classic at University High School. A free throw at the end of the game by Central Valley's Brooke Gallaway gave the Metro All-Stars the 80-79 win over the Region All-Stars.

Montana State-bound Lindsay Stockton, from Gonzaga Prep, was named the MVP of the game. She had 16 points.

The game gave several college-bound players a final chance to play as prep stars. Gallaway is headed to Santa Clara next year. Chelsea Waters (Lewiston) is going to Gonzaga. The 2A State Player of the Year, Jamie Weisner (Clarkston), who scored 18 points, is committed to Oregon State.

NOTE: Watching from the stands Monday night were Hofstra's Katelyn Loper and former Gonzaga standout Katelan Redmon.
