After overtime loss to Sioux Falls, Fever confident moving forward

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever will own the number one seed in the Intense Conference playoffs.

Thursday the IFL confirmed the top seed for the Fever. If the Colorado Ice beat the Fever Saturday, the head-to-head would be one-and done. However, Tri-Cities would still own the second tiebreaker, opponent's winning percentage. Tri-Cities says it will stay confident through the final two regular season games straight into the playoffs.

"No one we play in the next two weeks is as good as the team we played last week. That's not a knock on Colorado or Wyoming, but they're not as good as Sioux Falls. Proving that we can play with the best team in the league should give us confidence. If we have another crack at Sioux Falls it means we're in the championship and anything can happen on the road in the championship," head coach Adam Shackleford said.

"You know first couple of times we played them we scored about 30 points total. And now you know we put up 72 points which I think is our high mark for the year. So us just getting in a rhythm like that is always a good thing," added quarterback Houston Lillard.
