Semi-Truck Wreck Spills Hazardous Materials In Whitman County

WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. - A semi-truck carrying hazardous materials wrecked on Highway 274 Saturday afternoon.
We are still awaiting further details but we are told the accident happened about two miles east of Tekoa at about 12:30pm. It is not clear what the truck was carrying, but we are told it is a hazardous material. Reports unconfirmed by police say it was carrying fertilizer.
The road is expected to be blocked for a few hours while crews clean up. No word on any injuries.
