Fever prepare for road game with Wyoming

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever left earlier than usual for a road game. Wednesday they packed up their bags and set off for the long drive to Wyoming. They want to quickly move forward from their loss to Sioux Falls. Friday the Fever look to beat Wyoming for the second time this season. They met at the end of March at Toyota center. The fever won 62-41.

"Our goals are the same. We're still in first place in the division. Our fight right now is with Colorado and Allen for that first place spot in our conference. Wyoming is the next step in that challenge," head coach Adam Shackleford said.

"They have a few good players over there on the defensive side of the ball from scouting them earlier this week. They've got a quarterback that's been in this league a little bit, so he's going to score some points on the offensive side. It should be a good game," running back Dennis Kennedy added.

One of the exciting parts about the indoor football game is the amount of scoring. But that was not the case on Saturday. The Tri-Cities Fever held the Wyoming Cavalry to a defensive season best, 16 points.
