KENNEWICK, Wash. -- This Saturday the Tri-Cities Fever will play its biggest game of the season. It is a rematch of last year's title game with the Sioux Falls Storm.
Both teams enter the game undefeated. The Fever is 9-0 and the Storm is 8-0. It is the first of two meetings in the regular season. Then in two weeks the second match-up will be live on SWX. In last season's championship, the Storm beat the Fever 37 to 10. The Fever say Sioux Falls remains the measuring stick in the league.
"Well they're the beast team in this league and you watch them on film and I think they're better offensively then they were last year. We're going to go out there and hopefully eliminate some mistakes and be able to hang with them. Our goal is to hang with them toe to toe and try to win the football game in the fourth quarter," said Adam Shackleford, Fever head coach.
"It's going to be a big one for us, especially for the guys that played on last year's team. I know most of us want a chance to get back from last year's loss in the championship game. Right now we're looking at the biggest game of the season," added running back Dennis Kennedy.
