MSNBC.COM - An unusual flying object was seen zooming around New York City's airspace Friday. It was the space shuttle Enterprise, riding on top of a modified jumbo jet.

Enterprise, the original prototype for NASA's winged space shuttles, took off from Washington, D.C.'s Dulles International Airport at 9:39 a.m. ET mounted on top of the space agency's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. click here to read more
