Seahawks News: Lynch Gets Posterized!

The face of the Seahawks this year: Marshawn Lynch. Team owner Paul Allen tweeted a picture of the famed, Skittle-eating running back on Wednesday – a photo of him sporting the new team's jersey on the side of CentruyLink Field.

Former Seahawks to have received similar, visible honors were Shaun Alexander, Matt Hasselbeck and Patrick Kerney.

Draft Update: Tannehill?

Asked who the Seahawks should take with their No. 12 pick in Thursday's NFL draft, the biggest chunk of SWX viewers say they should take Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

But that doesn't mean much, honestly.

The prevailing theory in draft prognosticator circles is John Schneider and Pete Carroll will do something much different. Perhaps they will take Quinton Couples (DE, North Carolina). Or Melvin Ingram (OLB, South Carolina). Other names have been floated as well – just do a Google search.

Miami is more likely to take the quarterback who potentially has more upside than most analysts believe. But if they don't, the draft team in Seattle has some serious thinking to do. But let's not kid ourselves. Schneider knows what he wants.

"The majority of those [picks] are done ‘right there'," said Schneider, pounding his hand on the table for effect. "You're on the clock, and so you're basically kind of waiting to see who's going to come and what player is sitting there. And then you have to evaluate the different between the two – maybe three players – as to that one particular you feel will be there."

Round 1 of the draft starts Thursday at 5 p.m. (PT). Rounds 2 and 3 are on Friday, with Rounds 4-7 on Saturday.
