PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Tri-City Americans fall deeper into their playoff series hole. Wednesday the Americans lost to the Portland Winterhawks 3-1. Adam Hughesman scored the only goal for Tri-City and it came 1:16 into the first period, but that was it. Now they face elimination in game four Thursday.
