BOISE, Idaho - The State Board of Education will vote later this week on a new five-year, $11.7 million contract for Boise State football coach Chris Petersen.

The new deal includes a variety of incentives, including a $250,000 annual payment that allows the university to use Petersen's name, image, voice and signature for marketing and selling merchandise.

The board is meeting Wednesday and Thursday in Moscow.

Earlier this year, the board approved giving Petersen a $375,000 raise for 2012. At the time, it was described as the first step to redoing his 5-year contract.

In six seasons at Boise State, Petersen has led the Broncos to a 73-6 record and two BCS bowl victories -  the kind of on-field success that enabled the Broncos to join The Big East Conference in 2013.
