Chandler Smith, just a sophomore, scored an impressive 35 points for Brewster, but it wasn't enough to win a state title, as Reardan sneaked away with a 65-57 win to keep their undefeated season in tact.
Reardan's Kelsey Moos struggled in the first half, scoring just six points in the first half. But she came alive in the second and made all the difference on both ends of the floor. The junior guard hit floater with 2:11 left in the game to put the Indians up 65-57, and the Bears couldn't catch up after that.
With the win, Reardan secured their fifth state title. They also won last year.
Smith led the Bears with 35, but Jessie Hammons had points, and Andie LeGebbers scored 5.
