Kennewick prepares for CBBN 3A championship game

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Friday the Kennewick Lions take on cross-town rival and top-seed Kamiakin Braves. It is for the CBBN 3A championship. Earlier this season, Kennewick gave Kamiakin its first league loss. Friday they are back at it again with more on the line. Kennewick has steadily improved over the last few years, and a win over Kamiakin would be the latest milestone for the Kennewick seniors.

"It's crazy. It's been a ride. It really has been a ride. We've been very consistent too. We've played together. In the past we've been trying to get together, trying to work together. Now we're one. So to see the success come together, it's been great," Kennewick senior guard Luis Santiago said.

"It's just really exciting. It's exciting for the kids, for the school, the program, the community. It's just been a great run. We want to see how far we can take it. A lot of it is evidence by our players and our coaching staff," Kennewick head coach Bradyn Ledye added.
