SPOKANE, Wash. -

Some things are just out of your control. Despite winning a pair of Northwest Conference road games last weekend the Whitworth Pirates went from No. 9 to No. 10 in the latest D3Hoops.com poll.

The Pirates have already clinched a third straight conference title. They close out the regular season with two games this week: Tuesday at Whitman and Saturday at home against Willamette.

With the regular season locked up, they still have to play well to be treated well in the regional rankings before being seeded for the national tournament.
