Ryan Gregory, from Gonzaga Prep, said Friday he wants to play football at Carroll College in Helene, Mont.Ryan Gregory, a three-sport athlete at Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, said Friday he has committed to play football for Carroll College in Montana.
Gregory - a cornerback, receiver and returner - was the Greater Spokane League leader in interceptions this past season with six. As a receiver he averaged 28.1 yards per catch, scoring four touchdowns on a team that was heavily geared toward the run. He was a three-year starter for the Bullpups and never missed game.
In basketball, he helped Gonzaga Prep win the 4A state championship last season. This year he is averaging 12.4 points per game as the season comes to a close.
Gregory was a team captain in both football and basketball. He also ran track while at Gonzaga Prep.
Carroll College is an NAIA school based on Helena, Mont. The Fighting Saints are six-time NAIA national champions, having won in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2010. Carroll opens up next season Sept.1 against Portland State of the Big Sky Conference.
