Regular season title not enough for ambitious Kamiakin

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- CBBN playoff basketball starts Friday. One school that will get a week to watch is Kamiakin. The boys and girls both get a bye in the first round after finishing tops in the 3-A. The girls are 14-0. The boys are 13-1. Their only loss came to Kennewick.

The Braves say they are just getting started now that the playoffs underway. "We're not satisfied in the sense that we've fulfilled all our goals for this years. There's still goals left that we feel we need to accomplish, and that's what we have to look to next," said Brian Meneely, Kamiakin boys' head coach.

"That's the mindset. That's what our goal was in the summer after last year. When the seniors left last year our goal was to make another deep run into state and to win state," senior guard Cody Wilmoth added.
