ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Aaron Schmitt is a senior a Naches Valley High School. He is the captain of his swim team. His coach says Aaron fills the roll well.
"He was instrumental in helping all the other athletes help raise funds for paying for their program," said Jake Kessler, West Valley and Naches Valley boys' swim and dive head coach.
Aaron has a 3.72 GPA. He plans to attend Washington State University.
"I would like to study education in college because I want to become a high school teacher. Ever since I took history with Mr. Valentine and Ms. Van Wagner, I just enjoyed it so I thought I would do it."
At Naches Valley Aaron is the senior class president and SADD president. He is also a National Honor Society member.
"He's really had to be regimented in how he approaches his school work and making sure he gets everything done in a timely manner," added Kessler.
