Pasco School District denies ineligibility accusations

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. --  Last week, SWX Right Now received an anonymous letter. The letter stated several student-athletes at Chiawana High School are ineligible. The letter gave examples why.

SWX looked into the letter. SWX spoke with Pasco School District Assistant Superintendent John Morgan. He responded to the accusations and says the student-athletes in the school district follow district guidelines.

"I have met with about 23 different sets of parents since the start of the school year. Some parents, the accusations that they were living in a different area did not prove to be true. The great majority of them did not prove to be true. But we will continue to investigate. When I say investigate it may mean we bring in someone from the outside at times," Morgan said.

SWX will continue to share any updates on this matter.
