After only one season with the Idaho football team, Jason Gesser has proven he is an asset on and off the field. Gesser has been voted the Western Athletic Conference recruiter of the year by Scout.com and FoxSportsNet.
The former Cougar was a running backs coach for Idaho this season, and will be in charge of the quarterbacks this fall.
Gesser is the only WSU player to be elected captain three consecutive years. He led the Cougars to two straight 10 win seasons from 2001-2002.
Before joining Idaho's football staff, Gesser was the head coach at Eastside Catholic High in Sammamish.
