Anyone who scores six goals and three assists in a week in hockey deserves to be recognized. So, that's what the Western Hockey League did on Monday by naming Spokane's Dominik Uher their Player of the Week.
Uher, with a +3 rating over the course of four games last week, helped Spokane to a 2-2-0-0 record. He scored four goals in last Tuesday's win over Seattle. On Wednesday he scored the lone goal in the Chiefs' loss to Kamloops. Then, on Friday, he scored a goal and two assists in Spokane's shootout win over the Victoria Royals. He ended the week with another assist in the Chiefs' 4-2 loss to Kootenay on Saturday.
Uher is currently the second leading scorer for Spokane with 50 points (22 goals, 28 assists).
The Spokane Chiefs have won seven of their last 10 games and are currently fourth in the WHL Western Conference with a record of 29-16-4-3. Their next game is Monday at home against Seattle.
