SPOKANE, Wash. -

When the Chiefs hit the ice Friday night against Victoria they will be without the services of defenseman Corbin Baldwin.

The Western Hockey League suspended the 20-year-old for two games on Thursday after he received a major penalty for checking to the head and a game misconduct in Wednesday's game at Kamloops. The suspension means Baldwin will miss both the game on Friday as well as the game at Kootenay on Saturday.

Corbin's penalty in the third period on Wednesday is what provided the Spark the Blazers needed to pull ahead. The game was tied at one apiece when he went to the penalty box. Kamloops went on to score three straight goals to get a 4-1 win, outshooting the Chiefs 11-1.
