The on-again-off-again Gonzaga Bulldogs are back on again. The Zags are ranked No. 24 in Monday's AP Top 25 poll.

Gonzaga re-entered the writers poll after being kicked out following a loss to Saint Mary's, who now happens to be ranked No. 18. In their only game of the week last week, Gonzaga beat Portland 74-62 to improve to 7-1 in the West Coast Conference.

The Zags' next test is a tough one. They travel to Utah on Thursday (ESPN2) to take on BYU at the 22,000-plus seat Marriot Center. The Cougars, with three losses in conference, are playing to gain ground on second place in their first year as a member of the WCC.

Kentucky holds the top spot on the AP poll, followed by Syracuse, Ohio State, Missouri and North Carolina.
