PASCO, Wash. -- Saturday night on SWX the Chiawana boys will travel to Davis, trying to hand the Pirates their first Big Nine loss.
These two teams met three weeks ago, with Davis winning that matchup. The Riverhawks are 3-2 since that last contest. It has been an up and down year for Chiawana. At 5-4 in the conference, they say they need to bring its best effort to knock off Davis.
"We need everyone firing on all cylinders. You know it's gotta be - we gotta do this together. It can't be a two man show it's gotta be a five man show and we gotta have guys off the bench helping each other out," Head Coach Chad Herron said.
"Davis they're always athletic. They shoot well, they do everything well. So you know we gotta do the little things," said Miquiyah Zamora, senior guard.
"We know we matchup with them, definitely. Last game we played them we were up on them in the fourth quarter at one point. We slipped a lead. We've been playing against those guys since we were little kids. So we definitely know we can play with them. It will be tough playing at Davis," added Jordan Downing, senior forward.
