East Valley Red Devils girls' basketball dominates with experience and versatility

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The East Valley girls' basketball team has seven seniors. That leadership is helping their success. Everyone steps up when needed. The Red Devils have six different leading scorers so far this season. The versatility and experience give these young ladies a chance to take the CWAC and state title from Prosser.

"We have a really big inside presence as well as a guard presence this year. If one isn't taking care of the ball, the other one jumps in and does their part," said Mikaela Zimmer, East Valley senior.

"We have bright kids. I have a number of high achieving students, and it makes it easier for us to make adjustments, and they're great kids to be around. They're a lot of fun and practice is fun," added Robi Raab, East Valley head coach.

East Valley is scheduled to play at Prosser on Friday.
