Almight Dollar Convinces Judge To Postpone Mayweather's Sentence

Updated:

A judge in Las Vegas on Friday gave Floyd Mayweather Jr. Until June 1 to turn himself in to serve a 90-day jail sentence, allowing him to box in a previously scheduled match set for May 5.

Mayweather doesn't know yet who he will fight in the Cinco de Mayo contest at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He pleaded guilty to a charge he attacked his ex-girlfriend while two of their children watched in September 2010.

The judge agreed to postpone the sentence after Mayweather's lawyer estimated his last seven fights generated $1 billion for the local economy, and that the May 5 fight could bring in more than $100 million.
