Sales of Pickle Juice Sport have risen 54 percent over the past year, although chances are slim you'll be able to get your hands on a bottle.
According to a blog post on thepostgame.com, the founder of Pickle Juice Sport, Brandon Brooks can't make enough of the salty sport drink to supply any more large retail stories.
The idea of pickle juice for athletes is an old one made more popular by Philadelphia Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder in 2000, followed up by a study done by BYU last year that proves its efficacy.
"Subjects exercised to the point of mild dehydration and had cramps induced. Those who drank pickle juice felt relief within 85 seconds, almost twice as fast as water or other sports drinks." – thepostgame.com
According to the blog post, Dez Bryant likes the drink and Jason Witten endorsed the product in 2006. So how bad can it be? Really?
