SPOKANE, Wash. -

Two games into the regular season Gonzaga's Kevin Pangos looks like a real-deal player with a lot of potential.

That is the opinion of Gonzaga play-by-play commentator Greg Heister, speaking in his weekly segment "Beyond the Broadcast" on SWX in Spokane. His optimism, though, was tempered with a caution to fans, some of whom are already crowning the freshman as the next big thing on campus.

"He is a freshman, we can't forget that," said Heister. "There are going to be games where he's going to remind us of that – or moments of every game where he's going to remind us of that. So, we have to kind of have to quell expectations but you kind of see the potential."

Heister also responded to the question about Gonzaga's team chemistry this year.

"Mark Few things this is as good of chemistry on a team as he's ever had," said Heister. "It's not that there wasn't chemistry last year – there was. It's just that these five new players have come in, and they are together all the time. They have fit into what is already here."

Senior center Rob Sacre has filled the role of the leader of the team and has fostered that "team" mentality, said Heister.
