Magic Johnson took a few jabs at LeBron James at a speech in Albany, NY over the weekend (YouTube)
Does Magic Johnson dislike LeBron James? Or does it just seem like it? Either way, the retired superstar took a swipe at King James during a question-answer session following a speech at the University of Albany over the weekend.
There's gong to always be great players in basketball. There's ‘going to always be guys who win championships in the NBA…. except Lebron…."
And the crowd went wild.
A snippet of the exchange was captured on camera and posted to YouTube.
Johnson continued to kid, asking who is better: LeBron or Kobe Bryant, which drew even more cheers and boos.
"I love the young man though," he said at one point. "I know he's going to get better in the fourth quarter this year."
More cheers and boos.
Seriously though, Magic said there is no comparison between King James and Michael Jordan.
"You know that Michael averaged of 30 points every playoff series? Don't try to touch that," he said.
